Good evening,

The City of Austin began accepting applications on Aug. 26 from nonprofit and public entities for its Google Fiber Community Connections program. All applications must be submitted no later than Sept. 30, 2013. The selected organizations will receive free, one gigabyte Google Fiber connection, 24-hour technical support, and next-business-day customer service through April 8, 2023.

The Office of Telecommunications and Regulatory Affairs (TARA) will host a technical assistance conference call on Friday, September 13th at 2:00 p.m.  This is an opportunity for organizations to inquire about the application form, the site selection criteria or the process.

Organizations interested in joining the conference call should call 512-974-2999 to participate.
We encourage organizations to submit questions by 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
